For the most part of my life, the dinner table was always the place to feel at home. In Venezuela I lived in a small apartment with my parents, my sister and my grandmother. The dinner table was always that moment where we would be together and share our days with each other. It has been more than 10 years since all 5 of us has been in that table together.
In this series, I really enjoyed the process. The idea of going to 5 different households of 5 different friends on a weeknight brought me back to those days in my small apartment sitting with my family. I was able to be a part of their regular nights for this one time and I found it very warming. They all offer a drink, they all just continued with their regular routine as if I was not there with a large format camera, and they made me feel at home.
